With recent changes in exporting magnets from China, our factory at Newland Magnetics has been working hard to navigate ways around the delays in magnet export licences.

Traditional high-temperature and high-performance Neodymium magnets often contain heavy rare earth elements such as Dysprosium (Dy) and Terbium (Tb), which can now require additional export licensing and longer lead times.
To help overcome these challenges, Newland Magnetics has developed a range of HREE-Free Neodymium magnets that deliver reliable performance without the use of Dysprosium or Terbium.
This innovation allows certain high-temperature grades of Neodymium magnets to be shipped without requiring export licences, helping customers benefit from faster deliveries, improved supply chain stability, and reduced risk of delays.

HREE-Free Neodymium magnets are advanced NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron) magnets manufactured without heavy rare earth elements such as Dysprosium and Terbium.
Traditionally, these materials have been added to Neodymium magnets to improve temperature resistance and magnetic stability in demanding applications. However, advances in magnet technology now allow Newland Magnetics to produce selected higher-temperature grades without relying on these restricted materials.
This means customers can still achieve strong magnetic performance while avoiding many of the complications and delays associated with export-controlled rare earth elements.
Because these magnets do not contain Dysprosium or Terbium, selected grades can be exported without requiring additional licences. This helps simplify the shipping process and reduce administrative delays.
With fewer export restrictions involved, HREE-Free magnets can often be delivered more quickly and with greater consistency compared to traditional high-temperature Neodymium grades.
